Access CHEMM: Chemical Hazards Emergency Medical Management
CHEMM enables first responders and other healthcare providers and planners to plan for, respond to, recover from, and mitigate the effects of mass-casualty incidents involving accidental or terrorist chemical releases. CHEMM is downloadable, in order to be available when the Internet is inaccessible. It provides evidence-based information and guidance on a wide variety of topics, including quick chemical identification, acute patient care guidelines, and initial event activities. The Intelligent Syndromes Tool combines and measures answers to quick questions about a patient’s symptoms input by a responder, in order to determine the probable chemical agent involved; links posted above the probable causes lead to a full record with recommended procedures.
