Rebecca Whitehead Munn developed Cisco Systems' global healthcare strategy and helped form the healthcare practice of the Internet Business Solutions Group, a group of consultants and industry experts dedicated to helping key customers move their business to an Internet-powered environment. She has been published in key health care and technology publications, co-authored The Telemedicine Handbook, and has delivered hundreds of industry presentations, including multiple years of presentations to large audiences at the annual Healthcare Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) conference.
James W. Suliburk co-founded Handheldmed.com while he was a medical student at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center in Oklahoma City. An expert on the use of handheld devices in clinical settings, in July 2001 Dr. Suliburk will begin his residency in General Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center, Houston. The title of his talk is"Handheld Medicine - An Introduction to the Use of PDA's in Clinical Practice." Dr. J. Robert Beck, MD "Links from the Links: A Future Scenario for Wireless Technology and the Medical Professional" A physician and a medical librarian will do a live demonstration of how medical information can be received and sent using handheld devices and wireless technology that is available today--soon may be part of the medical professional's future.
