The TMC Library is pleased to assist other libraries in fulfilling their patrons’ information needs. Libraries may also contact the Regional Medical Library for the National Network of libraries of Medicine, South Central Region (NN/LM SCR) for in-depth consumer health information.
Who Can Use Lending Services?
Any library in need of loans or photocopies from The TMC Library’s collection may request them via our fee-based Lending Services. Consortium members may be eligible for free or discounted service. Click to view the fee schedule.
How To Place A Request
We accept requests via DOCLINE, OCLC, FAX and U.S. Mail (ALA-form). Requests for RUSH service should be entered in the appropriate system (DOCLINE or OCLC) and a copy of the RUSH request should also be faxed to our office.
Libraries may pay via OCLC IFM, EFTS (preferred methods) or via monthly invoicing. All payments must be made in USD. Invoices may also be paid via credit card.
What Is the Loan/Renewal Period?
Materials borrowed from The TMC library may be kept for up to three weeks. Items can be renewed for an additional two weeks.
Non-Circulating Materials Policy
We do not lend serials, current reference books, or materials from our historical collections. Please direct requests for scans or copies of historical materials to Alisa Hemphill, 713.799.7105. These requests are handled on a case-by-case basis.
