The Knowledge Network Services (KNS) Division is responsible for four
different library service areas:
Reference
KNS personnel and other librarians staff the Reference Desk 67 hours a
week (see the schedule below). If you have a question on library
holdings, how to use library resources, or how to start you research while
you are in the library, stop by the Reference Desk on the first floor
and staff will be happy to help you. If you have questions when
not in the library building, call 713.799.7161 to reach a reference librarian

Online Searching
Trained medical librarians are available to conduct mediated searches
for both cardholders and non-cardholders. Go to HAM-TMC

Public Relations
The Assistant Director for Public Relations is responsible for all library
public relations, including publicizing library events and services, responding
to comments and complaints regarding library services, and contact with
TMC and Houston media. The Assistant Director for Public Relations

Consumer Health Information
The HAM-TMC Library has created an active Consumer Health Information
program with an extensive book collection, full-text databases, and a
Consumer Health Information Librarian who is available during regular
business hours. The Consumer Health Information Librarian is available
