Location
The Houston Academy of Medicine-Texas Medical Center Library is
located in the Jesse H. Jones Library
Building in the Texas Medical Center. There are floor
maps of the Library for you to view and print out. Frequently,
the Library is referred to as the Jesse Jones Library,
but this is not its official name and leads to confusion at times.
The street address of the Library is 1133 John Freeman Boulevard,
Houston, Texas 77030.
Parking
All parking in the Texas Medical Center is under the control of
the TMC Parking
Office. The HAM-TMC Library has no control over any parking
matters. In front of the HAM-TMC Library are a few short-term
(20 minute) parking spots. Beneath the HAM-TMC Library is Garage
3, which can be entered from Bertner Street (east side of
library building). Both the short-term parking and Garage 3
are often full.
The next-closest parking is in Garage 4. Located
one-and-a-half blocks from the HAM-TMC Library, Garage 4
has entrances on both McGregor St. and Ross Sterling St.

1. Follow I-45 through downtown to Hwy 288 south.
2. Take 288 south and exit at N. MacGregor St.
Head
west towards Hermann Park.
3. At the Y intersection, stay to the left (Braeswood
St.).
4. Turn right on Moursund Ave. and follow it until
it ends.
5. Turn right on Bertner St. at the three-way intersection.
6. The first stop sign is at John Freeman Ave.
