Contents: , , , ,
Access Level:
Descriptions: 1000 Genomes: a deep catalog of human genetic variation "...is the first project to sequence the genomes of a large number of people, to provide a comprehensive resource on human genetic variation... The goal of the 1000 Genomes Project is to find most genetic variants that have frequencies of at least 1% in the populations studied." 1000 Genomes is an international endeavor, with participants from institutes, governments and universities world-wide. "DNA from the samples will be available for researchers to follow up with more detailed studies of variation in particular regions. The cell lines will allow researches to study cellular phenotypes such as gene expression, epigenetic patterns, and drug response. The extensive genotype data available on the samples, and the trio samples for some of the populations, will allow researchers to map regions of the genome computationally that affect the cellular phenotypes, and to study the heritability of these phenotypes."

Journal Citation Reports (JCR)

Provider: Thomson Reuters
Contents: , ,
Access Level: , ,
Descriptions: The JCR gathers statistical data for the purpose of evaluating and comparing scholarly and technical journals, using citation data drawn from over 7,500 journals. Originally a part of the Science Citation Index, the Journal Citation Reports were also a great innovation that came to be considered the single impartial, authoritative measure of a journal's quality and influence. In recent years, there have been serious challenges to this view, and some alternative systems of journal evaluation have been introduced that have aimed to correct the problem of bias in the data on which this still very influential analysis system for journals was founded. Annual editions of JCR from 2000 to approximately the most recently-previous year are accessible online. Journal Citation Reports rates journals on the basis of: most frequently-citedby discipline; highest-impact in a field; and largest in a field.

Once your account is established, you will not need to log in with TMC Library to use mobile Stat!Ref. For a video tutorial on setting up mobile access, see this link . NOTE RE. ICD-10:  The Library has a separate subscription to the ICD-10 draft Clinical Modification and Procedure Coding System documents. Stat!Ref could not integrate our individual subscriptions into the larger database platform accessed by all participating libraries statewide, so these two items are best located by using the e-books tab of the A-Z list (just input "icd 10" and these titles will come to the top) or by searching the library catalog for ICD-10. We hope that in mid-2014 the ICD-10 resources will be included in the statewide subscription.
