American Veterinary Medical Association: Disaster Preparedness

Descriptions: The AVMA has posted a large amount of detailed, very useful information on providing for pets and livestock in the event of a natural disaster or other emergency- before, during and after- in the form of printable brochures and a comprehensive booklet for animal owners called "Saving the Whole Family." These documents are provided in Spanish as well as English. For veterinary professionals, the Emergency Preparedness and Response Guide (over 400 pages) is freely available from the website for download or printing.
