Cochrane Summaries

database

Provider: Cochrane Collaboration
Contents: ,
Access Level: ,
Descriptions: Cochrane Reviews study clinical trials in healthcare. These papers clarify the effects of medical treatments used for the care of patients. They are internationally recognised as the highest standard in evidence-based health care. Each review considers a clearly designed question; for example: Do antibiotics reduce the symptoms of a sore throat? The next step is to locate for all the research on that topic. The quality of the studies is then compared to stringent guidelines. The resulting data is collated and used to establish if there is decisive proof that a treatment works or does not work. In addition, all reviews are updated regularly, to ensure that your decisions are based on the most up-to-date and reliable information. Search, or browse by topic
