Library Hours: April 6 & 7

The TMC Library will close at noon this Friday, April 6 and remain closed on Saturday, April 7. Regular hours will resume on Sunday, April 8.

The library building will be closing at 3:00 pm on Friday, January 12, 2018 through the weekend for electrical work. We will reopen with regular hours on Tuesday, January 16, 2018.
postDescriptions: Philip Montgomery of the McGovern Historical Center will be giving a seminar at The Health Museum on Tuesday, September 19 from 5:30 to 7:00 PM. The presentation is titled "Quack medicine: selling hope for profit and glory."

Mr. Montgomery will explore the history of quack medicine and how the intersection of science, culture and health fears presents unscrupulous healers opportunities for profit and glory. He will define quackery and review examples from the 18th century to early 20th. Mr. Montgomery will define quackery and review its history in relation to the rise of the scientific method and advances in medicine. postDescriptions: The McGovern Historical Center will present a Public Health Film and Archive Exhibit in the TMC Library lobby on Friday, September 29. The exhibit will feature works from the Mading Collection spanning from the 1700-1900s. The exhibit will run from noon to 1:00 PM.
