Provider: National Library of Medicine
Descriptions: DailyMed provides high quality information about marketed drugs according to FDA approved labels (package inserts). This website provides health information providers and the public with a standard, comprehensive, up-to-date search and download resource on medications. A "Product Identification System" feature allows the user to identify unknown medications by entering criteria based on the appearance of a pill. A related database called Pillbox, in beta development at this writing and located at http://pillbox.nlm.nih.gov/ will presumably replace the Product Identification System tool in the near future.
