This highly searchable database contains over 100,000 pages of letters, diaries, memoirs and accounts of “early encounters” with the humans, flora and fauna of North America, from approximately 1,400 explorers, missionaries and settlers in the “New World.” Many images of native peoples, plants and animals are included.
