See details about <a href=\"https:\/\/library.tmc.edu\/mcgovern\/conducting-research\/research-assistance\/\"><u style=\"color: #c25c5c;\">making an appointment<\/u><\/a> to visit the McGovern Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Archives<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Archives, located at the Historical Research Center at 8272 El Rio, Suite 190, holds personal papers of medical personnel, institutional records of health care institutions, medical-related photos, graphic arts and objects. The Historical Research Center also houses several rare book collections, including the Mading collection on public health, the Dow collection about dentistry, and the Menninger collection about mental health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rare Book Room<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The McGovern Rare Book Collections is located in The Texas Medical Center (TMC) Library, which is in the Jesse Jones Library building located between Baylor College of Medicine and the University of Texas McGovern Medical School. The McGovern Rare Book Collections houses the John P. You can use any RESERVED MCGOVERN and unmarked spots throughout the parking lot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Rare Book Room<\/strong> has limited hourly pay-to-park spaces available in Garage 3 and Garage 4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Garage 3<\/strong>\u00a0is located underneath the TMC Library and has limited parking spaces for guests, hourly pay to park. Please do not park in spaces marked \u201ccontract parking\u201d or you will be towed.\u00a0UTHealth controls Garage 3. See\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uth.edu\/parking\/parking-resources\/parking-rates\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Parking Rates<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Garage 4\u00a0<\/strong>is the next-closest parking. It is located one-and-a-half blocks from the Library with entrances on Cambridge and Ross Sterling Streets. The TMC controls Garage 4.
