It includes links to healthcare facilities that accept the uninsured-- "self-pay" patients and those who cannot afford to pay. HealthCare.gov is also a place to check for answers to questions about the Affordable Care Act, and to use an interactive timeline detailing the implementation of its most important provisions. Different topics under "Comparing Care Providers" link to the Medicare website, to other sections of this site, or to the DHHS website, where users can learn about physicians or types of healthcare facilities.
