There are options available to publish your article as open access, free of charge.
Authors may be eligible to upload their accepted author manuscripts to PubMed Central at no charge. See the PMC website for more information on eligibility and how to submit.
Another option is to take advantage of specific publishers’ open access fee waivers and discounts, available through the Texas Medical Center (TMC) Library. These author benefits are for anyone who is currently enrolled or employed at one of the six academic institutions we serve.
The TMC Library has agreements with specific publishers to assist authors from our affiliated institutions, giving them financial support to make their submitted articles open access.
