Car Repair, Genealogy, Hobbies, Legal Forms, Resumes and more:  TexShare Resources at the TMC Library

Did you know that the TMC Library offers a wide range of resources beyond health and medicine?

The TMC Library provides access to 69 TexShare databases, academic and general databases provided through a program offered by the Texas State Library and Archives Commission.

Through TexShare, users have access to the content of popular magazines, the Chilton Car Repair database, legal forms (Gale Legal Forms), and test preparation guides for common certification exams outside of medical fields (Learning Express Library). The Learning Express: Job and Career Accelerator tool provides assistance with job hunting and resume building.  TexShare also provides ancestry research via HeritageQuest Online, as well as the Hobbies and Crafts and the Home Improvement reference databases.

There are also databases targeting K-12 audiences and Spanish language speakers. A comprehensive list of TexShare databases for 2021-22 is available Resources: A-Z.  Alternatively, you may also browse our TexShare Databases libguide.

The most popular TexShare database is Academic Search Complete, EBSCO’s one stop multidisciplinary database aimed at college students. It offers a pleasing mix of popular and scholarly content for writing position papers and persuasive essays with filters to help students differential scholarly from popular sources. It includes a wide selection of popular, trade and scholarly resources with tools to help users cite sources found on the platform.

Come explore a wide range of interests, disciplines, needs and perspectives, available at the TMC Library via TexShare databases.
