Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) titles in Access Medicine

Medical publishers are expressing their commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) to meet the medical needs and perspectives of all people. DEI texts are titles either entirely on these subjects or standard medical textbooks which include chapters on DEI topics.

DEI topics include: racial and ethnic disparities in healthcare, transgender and gender health, sexual and gender health for minorities, cultural and linguistic competence by providers, international immigrant worker care, social justice health, equity implicit bias, intimate partner violence, provider wellness/burnout, veteran’s health, vulnerable patients and more.

Access Medicine from McGraw Hill has recently published a new textbook, Transgender and Gender Diverse Healthcare, referred to as the Fenway Guide.

Students and faculty can explore this and other unique DEI titles on the Access Medicine platform, via a subscription through their TMC Library.
