History of Medicine Seminar Fall 2026 Returns

History of Medicine 2026 has returned, hosted by McGovern Medical School.

The History of Medicine series originated with the Houston History of Medicine Society, and has been a collaboration between Baylor College of Medicine, the TMC Library’s McGovern Historical Center, and the McGovern Center for Humanities and Ethics on behalf of McGovern Medical School.

This year, the Fall semester will rotate between discussions of the history of medicine and the use of archival collections, and of philosophy, with a focus on civil discourse and dialogue on morally relevant questions in medicine.

All sessions are held between 12pm and 1pm every other Monday at The TMC Library unless otherwise noted. Bring your own lunch.

For the month of September, sessions of History of Medicine Seminar are on September 14th and September 28th.
