It provides access to a wide array of public health information. Public-use data sets about mortality , cancer incidence, HIV and AIDS, tuberculosis, vaccinations, natality, census data and many other topics are available for query, and the requested data are readily summarized and analyzed in dynamically calculated statistics, charts and maps. The data is compatible with desktop applications such as word processors, spreadsheet programs, or statistical and geographic analysis packages. MedWatch is the safety and adverse event reporting mechanism, and one can sign up for email or RSS feed of MedWatch updates.  This site is somewhat complex, linking to a wealth of information and many different sections within FDA Drugs, but is easy to navigate via the "breadcrumbs" posted at the top, showing the user the path already taken. Tabs along the top lead to sections devoted to other areas of regulation under the FDA's purview, such as cosmetics, food, radiation-emitting products and medical devices.
