The Friends were incorporated in 1960 to “assist in the development, improvement, and expansion of facilities, services, and functions of the Texas Medical Center Library.”
Their collection at the McGovern Historical Center consists of the records dating back to the organization’s incorporation in 1960. There are materials relating to the Friends Board and administration, fundraising and gifts, events, and publications.
