Newly acquired! A collection of papers from Robert J. Emery, DrPH have recently been acquired—and processed—by the McGovern Historical Center. A finding aid is available at archives.library.tmc.edu/ms-248 and the papers are available for research.

Dr. Robert J. Emery is Vice President of Safety, Health, Environment & Risk Management at UTHealth and Faculty at the School of Public Health.

The archival materials available at the McGovern Historical Center reflect Dr. Emery’s expertise in safety and his career at UTHealth. They include reports for areas such as Industrial Hygiene & Air Environment and the Southwest Center for Occupational & Environmental Health. In addition, there are academic materials from courses related to topics such as workplace safety and public health risk communication. Finally, there are workshop and training materials, as well as external resources and publications. The materials range in date from approximately 1995-2011.

Rice University’s Digital Scholarship Archive also has an interview with Dr. Emery, which forms part of their Initial Overview of Radiation Effects Collection. These interviews complement the Radiation Effects and Events Collections held by the MHC.
